Privacy for benefit calculator inputs and corrections

Wage inputs remain in your browser

The calculator executes on your device. The quarterly wages, dependent count, claim date, benefit award, balance and withholding percentage you enter are not submitted to our server as part of a calculation. You do not create an account, upload a wage statement or supply a claim identifier. Sharing is voluntary: a shared worksheet link can contain its selected inputs, so review the link before sending it to another person. Printing or saving a browser PDF is controlled by your browser.

First-party usage records

When the measurement script runs, the site can write events to a first-party events table. These records describe the event type, site, page pathname, timestamp, day, selected jurisdiction label, broad country and mobile or desktop classification. They can also include the referring host, acquisition channel, template type and a random identifier held only for that page view. The identifier is not a persistent account or device identity. Query strings containing calculator values are removed from recorded page paths. The collector does not store the visitor's IP address or user-agent string.

What a correction sends

The report form on the contact page sends only what you put in it: the kind of problem you picked, your description, the path of the page on this site and, if you add one, an email for our answer. Those four values are stored as one report, apart from calculator use. Include public rule citations or a description of the incorrect output; avoid Social Security numbers, claim numbers, passwords, employer account details and complete benefit notices. A reply address is optional. Omitting it permits a report but prevents direct follow-up. An invisible decoy field lets us discard reports sent by scripts, and reports posted from another website or with a description under ten characters are refused.

Cloudflare performance measurement

The existing Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon measures page-load timing and Core Web Vitals through your browser Performance API. It loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends reports to this domain’s /cdn-cgi/rum endpoint. Reports can include the page address without its query string or fragment, referring address, navigation type, browser and operating-system characteristics, transfer and timing measurements, and a random page-view identifier. These reports are separate from our first-party events and corrections tables. The beacon does not read the wage or award fields. Cloudflare receives the network request and processes its connection information under its service policies. Its data collection documentation explains performance reporting.

Hosting and optional services

Cloudflare serves this website and may process requests under its own service policies. Network requests necessarily expose connection information to the hosting provider even though our events table does not retain an IP address. The site shows no advertising, and the calculator is available without an account or subscription.

Choices and contact

You can use the form without sharing a result, decline to provide a reply address, and avoid putting personal details in a correction. Browser privacy controls may block measurement requests. The contact page provides the route for reporting privacy questions about this site. We can investigate records we hold, but we cannot retrieve a state agency claim, change an agency account or control a copy of a shared link held by another person.
